Pre-Holiday Workout, last chance before the weekend!!!


Fusion MMA and its trainers are taking off for the holiday weekend.  Get some last minute work in before you hit the beach!


Take advantage of class tonight (San Da) at 8 PM.  Work those legs, kick catches, rastlin’, and hand speed before turning in for the night.  MMA training also at 12 PM on Friday.  Put together all of your skills for a great total body workout.

Start the weekend off right with FIGHT NIGHT.  Circuits start at 7 PM and sparring starts at 8 PM.  All are welcome, members or not.  $20 gets you as much work as you can handle, we leave when the lights go out.  

If you want to come and watch that is cool too.  Be a spectator (for free) before we start charging people for the privilege of watching some quality fighters beat on each other, for fun!

Get the work in so you can do some serious head turning on the beach and damage at the BBQ’s this weekend.  Happy FOURTH and remember- Blood is RED sweat!

Two for Tuesdays!!


Two for Tuesdays!

Boxing is the name of the game on Tuesdays with some strength exercises.   

Started with 2 min rounds of alternating Push and Pull exercises to failure.  Start with a push exercise (bench press, cleans, dips, push ups, etc) and when you reach failure switch to a pull exercise (pull ups, rows, etc) and do that to failure.  Continue this cycle until the 2 minutes are finished.

Jump in the ring and work with your partner using just the jab for the first three minute round, then introduce the hook, then for the last remove the hook option and only throw the cross when the jab makes contact (even if blocked).   In between the sparring rounds do the strength circuit stated above.

The final round is 1 minute of true boxing followed by 2 minutes of boxing with wrestling.  

Lesson for today:  Don't drop your head and hands, even if tired.  Your partner might not be nice!  Hooks to the face are good motivators.

Fight Night-Best Night

Last week we had a weak turn out.  I will blame it on the weather.  Let’s not have that happen two weeks in a row.  Get your rears in gear and get in for some work.  

As they say in The Program, “Are you hurt or injured?”  Not sure of the difference?  Hurt, you can train.  Injured, YOU CAN’T.  You can always do something.  Work within the boundaries of your limitations for the day and your body will reward you will accelerated healing.  Sweat out the impurities and have fun with your friends. 

7 PM starts conditioning circuits and 8 PM starts the sparring.  Bring boxing gloves, shin guards, MMA gloves, mouth guard and cup (TRUST ME!) and show up to Elite Plus Fitness @ 3 East 33rd Street, New York, NY.

Dinner for Monday- kicks, served up HOT!

Jason Lee has a kickboxing match this Friday.  Come to Elite Plus for some kick sparring tonight to get him ready to dominate his opponent. 

If you don't want to kick spar feel free to come and workout, without contact.  We have what you need to get you sweating and having a GREAT time!!!

Post Fight Week

Thanks to all who came out to support our fighters.  This week is relaxing for them but not for you.  Get your work in and make sure you put in the sweat equity to reach the goals you want.

Our warriors will be back in the gym soon enough and back in the cage soon after that.

Class tonight at Elite Plus with Fontan MMA!!!  Bring your gear cause its gonna be a good one!

San Da Thursdays



San Da is the kickboxing art closest to MMA. It utilizes kicks, punches, throws, sweeps and other wrestling take downs to dominate your opponent.

Come join us after you enjoy the beautiful day for some San Dan Kickboxing fun! Contact is optional but there will be plenty of things to hit and take out the aggressions of the day on!

Elite Plus MMA at 3 East 33rd Street is the spot to be. 8 o’clock in the PM is the time it all goes down.
