Let's run in circles!

Sunday, May 22, marks the beginning of Fusion MMA track workouts in Astoria Park. Adam will be teaching and training the basics of sprint workouts. The benefits to sprinting (high intensity training) for fighting are immense. It gets your heart rate up quickly and keeps it up for an extended period of time, even during rest periods. The actual time spent working is less but the benefits are lasting. For example, a typical spring workout might last 20 minutes from start to finish with a large (85%) portion of that time devoted to resting or active rest (walking or slow jogging)

Aside from a basic workout Adam will also teach the finer points of HOW to run, as most people waste energy due to poor form. We will also determine a baseline for all in attendance so you can chart your progress. All are welcome.

11 AM, Astoria Track in Astoria Park, bring comfortable shoes or sprinting flats and water.

FYI- Adam is a former Division 1 Sprinter specializing in short and middle distances. Was captain of the team his senior year and coached the year after. He held numerous records at his college, some still stand. He has competed at the national level in both high school and college.
